Considered since the opening in January 2009 one of the finest golf courses in Morocco and the Maghreb, Golf de Mogador (located 5 minutes from the Jardin des Douars) is a real "grand cru" signed by Gary Player.
Located on the Atlantic in the heart of a protected site, two 18-hole golf courses of great golfing beauty offer breathtaking views of Essaouira, Mogador Island and the famous sand dunes extending as far as the eye can see.
This golf course, on par with the most amazing European courses, is a haven of beauty. It is suitable for all handicaps, especially from October to May (less windy), and offers a bit more of a complex challenge from May to September (more windy). With or without wind, the course is well protected and provides total golfing pleasure with a stunning backdrop. Furthermore, the Essaouira microclimate perfectly regulates the heat, which is always very pleasant on the ground.
The north course, with a total length of 6,558 metres from the back tee, is a PAR 72 and provides especially good golfing.
The second course, currently being standardised by the Federation, will open its doors in late 2010.
The green fee is about 750 dirhams/18 holes. The cart price is 350 dirhams and the caddie price is 100 dirhams. Rental Callaway bags are available (250 dirhams).

It is customary to foresee a tip of 50 dirhams per 18-hole course for your caddie.
A driving range and a high-level golf school also allow beginners, children or golf-lovers to improve their playing or attend a course.
